      “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” These famous words spoken by the late, great Audrey Hepburn sum up that feeling of excitement about new beginnings we feel when planning and planting our garden in early spring. The first tiny green sprout we see peeking out from the dirt gives us hope that the bitter cold is behind us and the coming days will be filled with warmth and sunshine. This spring will be a wonderful season to celebrate the return of nice weather with the beautiful, colourful and eco-friendly gardening trends of 2014. If you haven’t started planning your spring garden yet, now is the time to do so.

Overall bad weather isn’t anybody’s friend, but if it isn’t our friend it is our garden’s nemesis.
